What I Had at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival (and Ranking)

Mickey Mouse Ferris Wheel

So I was at Disney California Adventure on March 10, during the Food & Wine Festival. (You can see my posts from it on my IG, @shannadoesstuff).

I was happily surprised by my experience. Here's what I had/did that was specifically during the Food & Wine Festival.

Drinks
Kobler Estate Wine Tasting
at Cocktales at Sonoma Terrace

The wine tasting was really fun, featuring a small winery in the Sonoma area called the Kobler Estate Winery. I'm blanking on the wine names, but they were all tasty.

Ranking:
1. Red wine, right - it was drier than I like my red wines, but the Kobler Estate wines are drier by nature, so I was ok with this
2. White wine, left - this one was on the fruitier side, which is something I like in wines
3. White wine, middle - this one was floral and had a great taste, but I did enjoy it (just not as much as the other two)

Meals/Savory
Cheeseburger Bao Bun (California Craft Brews)
Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese (Top Left) (Garlic Kissed)
Carbonara Mac N Cheese (Bottom Right) (Nuts about Cheese)
Sirloin (Garlic Kissed)
Brisket Slider (Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo)

This food was surprisingly good, especially for small kiosk-esque vendors at a theme park. (My main issue with a lot of these was that it wasn't hot, but that's understandable given the situation.)

Surprise food I liked: the cheeseburger bao bun

Ranking
1. Carbonara Mac N Cheese - this had the right balance of textures and flavors, and was perfectly cheesy
2. Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese - this had a perfect balance of flavor between sweet, tang, and savory, although the textures were a bit one-note (not in a bad way, though)
3. Cheeseburger Bao Bun - this surprisingly had a lot of flavor, wasn't dry, and overall was well-balanced, although the garnish on top was a bit too much
4. Brisket Slider - the flavor and textures were there, just didn't wow me like the first three did
5. Sirloin - this was good, and as a whole the dish was balanced, but it was just ok in comparison to everything else

Desserts/Sweet
S'mores Tart (California Craft Brews)
Mickey Shaped Snickers Macaron (Garlic Kissed)
Churro with Gingerbread Dipping Sauce
Olive Oil Cake (Garlic Kissed

The desserts were really good and very tasty, and I was overall happy with them.

Ranking
1. Mickey Shaped Snickers Macaron - this was so tasty, and all the flavors balanced perfectly; it was a bit melty, but that's because the sun was out
2. S'mores Tart - just like a s'mores, although I do wish the marshmallow was more/better incorporated
3. Olive oil cake - this was good, just a little dense; also, it said the lemon was only in the chantilly cream, but it was in the cake as well, which I felt was a bit of false advertising - the lemon was good, but way more than expected because it was in the cake as well

Note: I am 85% sure the churro with the gingerbread dipping sauce is/was part of the Food & Wine Festival, but I got it at one of the normal churro vendors, so I'm not 100% sure about this. But it was so good and would place tie with the S'mores Tart if I wanted to include it in the ranking. (I didn't cause I wasn't sure if it was part of Food & Wine.)

DCA Food & Wine Banner

I did try to include all of the booths I got the food from, so if you do to the DCA Food & Wine Festival, give these a shot!
