A Cozy Chat
| Some of My Books, Feb. 2024 |
I haven't been in a great "blog-post-writing mood" as I've been calling it. So I figured a cozy, "chatty" type post would be best suited.
My socials - YouTube, Bookstagram, and BookTok - are running smoothly. Although getting back into these blog posts has been a bit hard, mainly due to trying to come up with good post ideas. But I'm trying, and the inspo searches are going strong.

Crocheting has been really fun, although I've been on a bit of a blanket kick. I'm going to try to get the blanket I'm currently working on done sometime in mid- to late March. Once that's done, I'm going to practice some other techniques in preparation for some other, smaller projects.
I feel like I am finally out of the reading slump I was in for the last half to third of 2023. Which is great. But I'm really trying to take it slow - I don't want to end up in another reading slump when 2024 has barely begun.

I've also begun to actually use Hoopla this year, which is another library app similar to Libby. There's a part of me that thinks Hoopla may have a slight edge over Libby. But I want to wait and use it for a little while longer since What is Left Over After by Natasha Lester is the first book I've borrowed using Hoopla.
The other book I'm reading is Starling House by Alix E. Harrow. The fact that it has footnotes really grinds my gears, especially after the debacle of the footnotes in Bable by R.F. Kuang. I'm really trying to give Starling House a fighting chance, though, considering that the footnotes aren't as bad in it as they were in Babel.
