Introduction

Hello, everyone, and welcome to my new blog! You may recognize me from the blog Shanna's Bookshelf. I'm back to blogging, starting out fresh and on a clean slate. You may wonder why I've started a whole new blog when I could have just revamped Shanna's Bookshelf. Let me explain.

When I thought of "revamping" my original blog, Shanna's Bookshelf, my first instinct was to delete all those posts and start that blog off on a clean slate. However, I put a lot of work into those blog posts, and while deleting everything was the gut instinct, I still wanted to look back on that work. It may not be my best work, but it still is my work, and I may want to look back on it one day.

As a result, I ignored that gut instinct. However, I didn't want to start back up on that blog with a whole new set of posts, a whole new posting schedule, etc., like nothing changed. Additionally, I didn't want to make a "here's where my blog is going" post, no matter how easy that may have been. Furthermore, although this definitely would have been me painting myself into this corner, I did not want to continue posting to Shanna's Bookshelf because I would have had thoughts of "I should be continuing to post X type of content because that's what this blog is/was about." I know this wouldn't have been logical thinking. However, I wanted to allow myself a fully clean slate without thinking that I need to post certain things because "that's how this blog was," I needed to create a fully new blog that had hopes, but not expectations of "what I should post" or "what I needed to post." Consequently, a whole new blog seemed like the best next step.

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Shanna. Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, cosplaying, and baking. I love Disney movies, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings (both the books and the movies), and going to theme parks.

This blog will be mainly centered around reviews of books I've read. Nonetheless, I am not limiting myself to only book reviews. Why? I don't have just books on my bookshelf - it does have trinkets on it. Funko pops, figurines, cups and mugs, and a candle (not lit while on the bookshelf) to name a few. So if I feel like sharing something completely unrelated to books and book reviews, I am going to do that.

I hope you enjoy my blog!

Shanna
